Pageant of the Masters: One of the Most Unique Shows in the World

Posted On: 08/02/2013

Come with us on Wednesday, August 7th to see art come to life at the Pageant of the Masters--one of our most popular trips! The Pageant of the Masters is a one-of-a-kind "living art" show in Laguna Beach, stated as "the Festival of Arts' crowning jewel and arguably one of the most unique productions in the entire world".

For just $121 a person, your fare includes your show tickets and a ride to and from our destination in one of our deluxe coaches from either Goleta, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, Ventura, Oxnard or Camarillo. We will drive down to Laguna Beach to first explore the Sawdust Art and Craft Festival and have lunch (which is on your own) then head over to see Pageant of the Masters which starts at 8:30pm.

The Pageant of the Masters website describes the attraction as "a ninety-minute stage show of “living pictures” – incredibly faithful art re-creations of classical and contemporary works with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces. An outdoor amphitheater, professional orchestra, original score, live narration, intricate sets, sophisticated lighting, expert staff, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers have won recognition for the Pageant as the best presentation of its kind."

This year the Pageant of the Masters celebrates its 80th birthday with the 2013 theme "The Big Picture", which will add a cinematic spin to their classic performances to include live recreations of masterpieces inspired by legendary filmmakers such as Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock and more. To get a better idea of the spectacular experience you're in for, take a look at this year's program or their photo gallery from over the years.
